CHILDREN OF POKOT
Barb O'Donohue Memorial
For many of the children attending the COPE schools, what they eat at school is all they have to eat until they return to school.
COPE feeds the students breakfast and lunch every school day. Breakfast is a cup/bowl of uji which is corn flour added to boiling water until it is the texture of hot cereal. A little sugar is added.
Lunch is a cup/bowl of corn and beans. A little salt are added.
