The Children of Pokot Educational Fund (COPE) and Little Galilee Christian Camp have partnered for a 5k run/walk. COPE is a childrens’ mission in Pokot, Africa, where 650 students are fed twice a day, provided an education and taught about Jesus. Little Galilee is a Christian Church Camp for kids and adults located in Clinton, IL.
COPE and Little Galilee are doing Kingdom work every day, and together we have created the Kingdom Classic 5K! The goal is to raise awareness for both missions.
The 5k run will be held on the beautiful 228 acre grounds of Little Galilee Camp. It is the course for the Clinton Jr and Sr High School cross country teams. The challenging course is a mix of road and trail.
Join us June 17th for the 2nd Annual Kingdom Classic 5k and bring your entire family. Want to run? There are scenic trails that will add to the 5K adventure. Want to walk? Same great views as you exercise. Want to sit and visit with friends and fellow supporters – bring a chair and relax together. After the race, breakfast will be served to the runners/walkers. Then there will a silent auction, COPE jewelry and carvings available, child sponsorship opportunities and the swimming pool will be open. Bring your children, bring your friends, bring your neighbors, bring your suits – join us for a day of activities and fellowship. Join us in prayer and thanksgiving for all God has done and continues to do for His children through these two missions.
Camping at Little Galilee is available. Awards will be given to the top two in each age division and overall M/F.

From Bloomington/Normal
Go south on Route 51 approximately 35 miles. Route 51 goes around Clinton. Travel south on 51. About 3 miles from the last stop light will be a large white Little Galilee Christian Camp sign. Turn right onto Little Galilee Road.
From Champaign/Urbana
You have two choices:

Either take Route 10 to Route 51 S. or
-
Take Route 74 west and exit at Route 54, Farmer City to Route 51 S. Travel south on Route 51. About 3 miles from the last stop light will be a large white Little Galilee Christian Camp sign. Turn right onto Little Galilee Road.
From Decatur
Go north on Route 51 around Maroa. From Maroa it is 3.5 miles to the large white Little Galilee Christian Camp sign. Turn left onto Little Galilee Road.
From Lincoln
Take Route 10 east to Route 51 and turn right. Travel south on Route 51. About 3 miles from the last stop light will be a large white Little Galilee Christian Camp sign. Turn right onto Little Galilee Road.
To Little Galilee from Route 51:
After turning onto Little Galilee Road at the large white Little Galilee Christian Camp sign, travel 1.6 miles and turn left at the Little Galilee sign. Travel .7 of a mile and you have arrived! The camp is on the right side of the road. Welcome to one of God’s special places where good things happen!
